The Golden Circle – Start With Why
Every company can tell you what they do, some companies can tell you how they do it, and how they stand out, but only a select few can tell you why. One of our favorite marketing ideals is known as the Golden Circle, and it explains how the companies who invoke emotion and loyalty towards a brand start with why.
Why does the organization exist? Why did you get out of bed, and most importantly, why should anyone care? Telling your customers why you do what you do is invaluable; it creates a more personal connection between your brand and your customers and will make them believe in what you believe. Apple famously answers this question, owning an Apple product is a lifestyle choice; it’s a piece of your personality. Creating this bond with your consumers is the key to a loyal customer base. So when you begin to plan for your next marketing campaign, make sure to start with why!
